Air Freight Operations Expert (AFR-OAM)

About the role

We are looking for an Air Freight Operations Expert (AFR‑OAM) to join our Global Service Center in Bogota. You will manage air freight transport orders, ensure regulatory compliance and deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of transport orders, schedule timely pickups and optimise booking processes.
• Prepare, control and distribute documentation in line with origin export and destination import regulations.
• Collaborate with internal counterparts to validate and finalise documents, assign tasks and monitor performance.
• Provide accurate shipment status, documentation requirements, incident resolution and pricing information to customers.
• Record, track and resolve operational exceptions, proactively updating customers.
• Maintain company system and commodity certifications and ensure correct cost and revenue capture.
• Forward quotation requests to the Quotations team and pass leads to Sales.
• Support urgent or critical situations on weekends when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in air freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of air regulations, documentation and Incoterms.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with excellent attention to detail.
• Fluent oral and written English; prior customer‑service experience is a plus.
• Currently studying or holding a degree in industrial engineering, international business or a related field.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Experience with CargoWise Transportation Management System (preferred).
