Controlling Operations M&S SD Manager – LATAM (Bogotá)

About the role

The Controlling Operations M&S SD Manager for LATAM is responsible for driving operational excellence in cost and Opex controlling across manufacturing sites in the region. Based in Bogotá, the role oversees an annual Opex budget of approximately €0.1 billion and leads a team of ten controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial controlling activities for Opex, project portfolio (~€9 M) and costing complexity (~2 k GMIDs) across LATAM sites.
• Ensure accurate planning, forecasting and real‑time performance tracking at manufacturing locations.
• Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Oversee Opex monitoring, reviews, provisioning and accruals, as well as costing activities such as Added Value analysis, yield performance, substitution impacts and PPV management.
• Deliver high‑quality M&S financial reports and analyses.
• Coach, develop and motivate a team of specialized controllers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with site teams, Finance Business Partners and global service leaders, ensuring alignment with global finance standards and compliance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, support audits and ensure policy adherence.

Required profile

• Solid background in finance with progressive responsibility, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Experience with manufacturing & services (M&S) processes and transformation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex financial information for diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to coordinate and motivate cross‑functional teams.
