Data Engineer Manager

About the role

We are building a shared, enterprise‑grade Data Platform that underpins analytics, AI‑powered experiences and system interoperability across our SaaS ecosystem. As the Data Engineer Manager you will lead the team that designs, builds and operates this platform, ensuring it scales reliably, performs efficiently and meets the evolving needs of product teams, customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Data Platform product and technical roadmap, guiding architecture and execution.
• Coach, grow and manage a team of data and platform engineers responsible for building and operating the platform.
• Collaborate with product owners, domain experts and downstream consumers to translate business needs into clear platform roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership on architectural decisions, design reviews and long‑term maintainability.
• Ensure the platform meets observability, privacy, security and compliance requirements.
• Drive operational excellence, including incident response, post‑mortems and continuous improvement of data freshness, accuracy and performance.
• Partner with DevOps and DevSuccess to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, monitoring and alerting.
• Manage technical debt while balancing delivery speed and platform health.
• Hire, onboard and develop engineers, handling performance management and career development.

Required profile

• 4+ years of people‑management experience leading software or data engineering teams.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong background in data engineering, platform systems or distributed systems.
• Proven experience building and operating data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
