Finance Associate (Remote – Medellín)

About the role

Pharmbills is looking for a Finance Associate to support its rapidly growing healthcare finance operations. Working remotely from Medellín, you will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, manage month‑end close, and help streamline accounting processes for a portfolio of over 3,000 clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Assist with internal and external audits and tax filings as needed.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Billing operations for 3,000+ clients and support Accounts Payable processing.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in U.S. corporate or public‑accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing processes.
