Health Care Compliance Officer – Colombia/Costa Rica

About the role

The Health Care Compliance Officer for Colombia and Costa Rica (Project Epsilon) provides strategic and operational compliance leadership for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business, partnering with senior leaders to ensure ethical conduct and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of compliance strategies aligned with global priorities.
• Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks across commercial, promotional, professional education, government interactions, supply chain and other activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to senior business leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and operating models.
• Oversee compliance programs including training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions in partnership with Legal.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Colombia and Costa Rica and anticipate emerging risks.
• Prepare and present risk assessments and recommendations to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
• 8‑10 years progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations in Colombia and Costa Rica.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi‑country compliance programs and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical, judgment and communication skills in English and Spanish.
