Health Care Compliance Officer – Colombia/Costa Rica

About the role

The Health Care Compliance Officer (HCCO) for Colombia and Costa Rica will lead strategic and operational compliance for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business, ensuring ethical conduct and risk management across a complex regulatory landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute compliance strategies aligned with global and regional priorities.
• Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks across commercial, promotional, professional education, government interactions, supply chain and other activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to senior leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and oversee training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Partner with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Colombia and Costa Rica and present risk assessments to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
• 8‑10 years progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws in Colombia and Costa Rica.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi‑country compliance programs and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; willingness to travel up to 30%.
