Legal Counsel – Global Contracts

About the role

Lenovo is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its Global Contracts Team (GCT). Reporting to the Lead Sr. Counsel, North America, the role will support sales and procurement contracts across North America, applying project‑management and technology‑driven approaches to improve risk mitigation and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a high volume of complex technology, sales, partnering, services, vendor and supplier agreements.
• Prepare confidentiality, license, data‑processing, professional‑services agreements, assignments and amendments.
• Develop and implement legal efficiencies, improve contract templates and playbooks.
• Provide proactive legal advice, risk‑and‑reward analysis, and present options to business partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, technology experts, sales, marketing, product developers, customers and suppliers.

Required profile

• JD or LLM degree and admission to practice law.
• 8+ years of drafting and negotiating experience in a fast‑paced, technology‑focused environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex legal matters clearly.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, detail‑orientation and ability to manage multiple transactions under deadline pressure.
• Exceptional judgment, integrity and a collaborative team mindset.
