Logistics Officer

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Logistics Officer to join its Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project in Bogotá, Colombia. The role supports the delivery of logistics activities for a large‑scale health initiative funded by PEPFAR and the US Government.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement standard logistics protocols for procurement, warehouse management, and commodity dispatch.
• Establish and manage pharmaceutical and medical equipment supply chains, including importation, handling, and field distribution.
• Identify, set up, and oversee emergency facilities such as offices, residences, and warehouses.
• Determine transportation needs, secure assets, and manage fleet operations, including fuel, maintenance, and driver allocation.
• Maintain asset and inventory registries at headquarters and field sites, ensuring compliance with donor and USG export regulations.
• Collaborate with headquarters support teams to resolve operational bottlenecks and improve processes.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or related fields, preferably in resource‑scarce or insecure environments.
• Strong knowledge of international and local customs, import/export compliance, and donor regulations.
• Ability to develop SOPs, manage facilities, and oversee fleet and inventory systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
