Senior Accounting Analyst

About the role

Auxis is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst who ensures that all accounting transactions are processed efficiently and effectively, in line with established service levels and contractual requirements. The role covers journal entries, ledgers and other records, balance sheet reconciliations, and working closely with the Staff and Senior Accountant to resolve complex issues and follow up on open items.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and other financial statements.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures and controls in line with IFRS-GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Respond to inquiries from other departments and external parties on accounting matters.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting clerks.
• Take part in special projects such as audits, budgeting and forecasting as assigned by management.

Required profile

• English-Spanish oral and written B2+ or above.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Technical high school degree in accounting or at least one year of college education in accounting.
• Nice to have: student of a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS-GAAP and other accounting principles and standards.
• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle, NetSuite or SAP is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
