Senior Data Developer, Colombia

About the role

CI&T is looking for a Senior Data Developer to lead the design and implementation of a data ecosystem for a greenfield agribusiness platform. The role will shape the data foundation that powers AI-driven agronomic analysis and georeferenced visualisations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end data pipelines across RAW, Silver and Gold layers using the Medallion Architecture.
• Architect data ingestion, transformation and standardisation from heterogeneous sources.
• Model data for analytical consumption following Data Warehouse best practices (Star Schema, dimensional modelling).
• Identify, evaluate and integrate new data sources aligned with agronomic business goals.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and client leadership to translate requirements into data architecture decisions.
• Produce and serve data in formats such as Parquet, CSV and geospatial datasets for downstream AI and map visualisations.
• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including storage, compute, access control, serverless functions, data cataloguing and event-driven processing.
• Own CI/CD processes for data pipelines using GitLab, including repository management, branching strategy, test gates and automated deployments.
• Support the data layer for AI/ML applications, ensuring data quality and availability for machine-learning workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating large-scale data platforms in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and data-warehouse modelling.
• Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, high-ownership settings.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
