Senior Specialist GBS Taxes

About the role

The Senior Specialist GBS Taxes will join adidas' Global Business Services (GBS) Tax accounting team. The role focuses on ensuring tax compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency across multiple jurisdictions while supporting finance, accounting, and technology partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit complex, high‑volume tax declarations, managing data extraction, controls, review, payment and documentation.
• Reconcile tax accounts with declarations and profit & loss statements, and support fiscal book preparation and analysis.
• Act as the primary point of contact for tax matters within GBS, fostering knowledge sharing and addressing compliance exceptions.
• Monitor tax and legal changes, execute tax controls, and perform advanced analytics to identify and prevent risks.
• Prepare electronic data files for audits and maintain an up‑to‑date filing system aligned with jurisdictional requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, finance, fiscal, legal or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting or related functions.
• Strong understanding of VAT postings, account reconciliation, and tax compliance processes.
