Software Engineer – Go Specialist (Backend, Cybersecurity)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Go to join a fast‑growing cybersecurity platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and scaling high‑performance backend services that process real‑time security data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Go‑based microservices and REST APIs.
• Implement authentication flows, API rate limiting, retry logic, fault tolerance and error handling.
• Build and support integrations with 100+ enterprise systems using OAuth, webhooks and external APIs.
• Design event‑driven architectures and data pipelines for ingestion, transformation and enrichment of security data.
• Develop scalable, multi‑tenant backend systems with PostgreSQL, handling schema design, complex queries, indexing and performance optimisation.
• Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS or Azure, implementing monitoring, logging and observability.
• Collaborate with product, security and engineering teams on architecture decisions, design reviews and platform scalability.
• Support AI‑powered security workflows and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience, preferably with Go (or willingness to learn).
• Proven ability to build APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with OAuth, webhooks, authentication systems and asynchronous processing.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, ownership mindset and strong communication abilities.
