Talent Acquisition Business Partner (LATAM)

About the role

ED&F Man Commodities, a specialist global agricultural commodities merchant trading in sugar, coffee, molasses, animal feed and pulses, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner based in Bogota, Colombia. The role reports to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition for Hartree Partners and works closely with the Regional HR Director for Latin America and the HR Manager for Brazil. It is a highly commercial, full-time hybrid position covering Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Honduras, Panama and Guatemala.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment and search lifecycle for junior to mid-level positions, from approval to verbal offer acceptance.
• Build a deep commercial understanding of the business and hiring manager needs, and partner with leadership on hiring strategies, talent markets and hiring trends.
• Deliver a high-quality, efficient hiring process focused on direct sourcing and a high-touch experience for candidates and hiring managers.
• Sourcing via LinkedIn, specialist job boards, social media, LinkedIn headhunting, employee referrals and internal advertising, and create attractive job adverts.
• Screen candidates, pitch the business and role, assess them against hiring manager criteria and shortlist for interviews.
• Coordinate hiring manager interviews, coach managers where needed, give constructive feedback and negotiate offers.
• Advise hiring managers and HR colleagues, and build and maintain talent pipelines in key skills-shortage areas, including external succession planning where needed.
• Engage with approved third-party recruitment vendors and contribute to recruitment processes, tools, systems, employer branding and talent acquisition projects.

Required profile

• Significant experience (ideally 5+ years) in talent acquisition, in-house and/or search environments.
• Exposure to FMCG, financial services and/or commodity trading.
• Strong stakeholder management, including influencing senior hiring managers.
• Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills, with attention to detail in written communication.
• Right to work in the provided location.
