Medical Lead

About the role

Opella is looking for a Medical Lead to drive medical strategy and support across Marketing, Sales, Regulatory and Commercial teams in Bogotá. You will ensure scientific excellence, compliance and effective product launch and lifecycle management for assigned brands.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement training, medical support and advisory activities for cross‑functional teams to facilitate product launch, acceptance and market sustainability.
• Participate in organizing scientific and promotional activities, ensuring high‑quality scientific content aligned with product objectives.
• Provide scientific review and approval of promotional materials, guaranteeing compliance with SOPs, ethical standards and local regulations.
• Support the Regulatory Department with medical aspects for marketing authorizations and updates to regulatory documents.
• Collaborate with strategic initiatives such as Market Access, Communications, Portfolio Management, PPM and PSPs.
• Maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and disseminate high‑level scientific information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 2–4 years in a Medical Affairs or MSL role.
• Leadership abilities and strong knowledge of products and therapeutic areas.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and advanced English.
