Accountant – US GAAP & QBO for Hospitality Clients

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a reliable Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of hospitality clients, including hotels and restaurants. You will ensure clean books, timely month‑end close, and accurate US GAAP reporting while working remotely from LATAM or Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle accounting for multiple hospitality clients, including general ledger management, month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, clarify transactions, and deliver results.
• Identify discrepancies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Adapt quickly to evolving client needs across diverse hospitality operations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience with full‑cycle close ownership.
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP applied in practice.
• Experience serving US‑based or US‑facing clients.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable working without micromanagement.
• Proven performance in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
