Construction Accounting Specialist (Bilingual Spanish/English)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Construction Accounting Specialist to provide high‑level accounting, construction, real‑estate, and property‑management support. The role involves managing construction draws, financial reporting, project coordination, documentation, property closings, due diligence and ongoing administrative and operational tasks while communicating clearly with US‑based teams.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and coordinate construction draws and project costs, supporting cash‑flow and asset‑management reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, including transaction coding, bank and credit‑card reconciliations and monthly reporting.
• Process bills, credit‑card transactions, receipts and supporting documentation to ensure complete and accurate records.
• Maintain organized project files (vendor quotes, bids, W‑9s, insurance, invoices) and track action items from meetings and communications.
• Support property‑level financial reporting, property closings, due‑diligence, and transitions with property managers.
• Maintain LLC records, annual subscriptions, real‑estate tax requirements and other recurring operational duties.

Required profile

• 3+ years of US bookkeeping, accounting, construction accounting, real‑estate operations or property‑management experience.
• Hands‑on experience with construction draws, property‑level financial reporting or real‑estate closings.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, dependable and comfortable working with minimal supervision during Central Time business hours.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong Xero proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Ramp.
• Familiarity with Trello.
• Use of Microsoft Teams and banking platforms.
