Junior Data Engineer – Remote

About the role

As a Junior Data Engineer at BairesDev, you will join a global team of top‑tier technologists and help build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers analytics and machine‑learning initiatives. You will work remotely, collaborating closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and analysts to turn raw data into reliable, actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and building data pipelines for collection, processing, and storage.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Help maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and relational databases.
• Contribute to data quality monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand and fulfill data requirements.
• Continuously learn and apply best practices in data engineering technologies.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database design principles.
• Familiarity with a programming language such as Python or Java.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and basic data modeling.
• Experience with version‑control systems, preferably Git.
• Good command of English.
