Sea Logistics Intermodal Expert

About the role

As a Sea Logistics Intermodal Expert within Kuehne+Nagel’s Freight Forwarding team, you will ensure timely and efficient movement of goods across sea and inland transport modes. You will support customers by coordinating shipments, monitoring operations, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor OTM and inland transportation from shipment preparation to final delivery.
• Manage relationships with carriers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
• Track shipments, monitor milestones, and proactively resolve transportation issues.
• Provide customers and internal stakeholders with timely updates and operational guidance.
• Review transportation documentation, billing, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor operational KPIs and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Customer Care, Operations, Finance, and Sales to deliver service excellence.

Required profile

• Experience in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding or related supply‑chain environments.
• Knowledge of inland transportation, carrier management and shipment coordination.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) or similar TMS.
