Software Engineering Manager

About the role

The Manager, Software Engineering leads a team of engineers while driving delivery, quality, and operational excellence across cross‑functional initiatives. This position blends people leadership, technical guidance, and execution accountability to ensure reliable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a high‑performing engineering team through coaching, feedback, performance management, and development.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery teams, ensuring work is effectively planned, executed, and communicated.
• Drive accountability for quality, operational excellence, incident follow‑up, and continuous improvement.
• Establish visibility into team performance via planning, metrics, status tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and operational challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, delivery, or related technical roles, including leadership of engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead software engineering teams in an agile or iterative environment.
• Strong people leadership skills: coaching, performance management, employee development, and team building.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
