System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator to join Amadeus Hospitality’s Technology Operations team in Bogota. You will help design, deploy and maintain high‑availability server, network and storage services across public and private cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot RHEL and Windows systems, both virtual and physical.
• Implement, monitor and maintain orchestration and management tools to ensure system health and performance.
• Engineer server virtualization solutions with a focus on high availability, performance and scalability.
• Develop and run shell/bash scripts for consistent and secure delivery of virtualized resources.
• Deploy, secure and maintain containerized Kubernetes platforms (private and public clouds) and enforce network policies and RBAC.
• Provide after‑hour and weekend support as needed and participate in an on‑call rotation for internal and customer escalations.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date documentation of current and new infrastructure environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration, patching and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems on virtual and physical platforms.
• Knowledge of storage protocols such as NFS and CIFS, and of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Hands‑on experience with container orchestration and Kubernetes management using kubectl.
• Familiarity with VMware vCenter and VM deployment processes.
• Experience with ticketing tools, change‑control procedures and emergency deployments.
• Excellent communication skills in English and willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational environment.
