Director of Accounting (Remote, Colombia)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the financial close, consolidation, audit, and tax compliance functions for its US and Colombia entities. This remote position requires hands‑on execution and cross‑border team management to ensure technical accounting excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close calendar for US and Colombia entities and ensure timely, accurate completion.
• Perform consolidation of multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prepared by senior accountants.
• Prepare and distribute monthly management reporting packages for both regions.
• Maintain and improve close process documentation and internal controls.
• Directly manage a US‑based Senior Accountant and coordinate with the Accounting Manager in Colombia.
• Lead the external audit relationship with RSM, managing the full audit cycle from planning to final sign‑off.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting leadership, preferably with multi‑entity and cross‑border responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Colombian accounting standards.
• Proven ability to manage and develop remote finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
