Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the accounting function for Sporting Jax, a professional soccer organization based in Jacksonville. The role will oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance, providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Partner with leadership to deliver financial analysis and recommendations.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or controlling roles.
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Financial reporting and compliance knowledge.
