IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

Abbott is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join its team in Cali, Colombia. The role focuses on level‑2 systems administration, supporting both hardware and software environments, and ensuring the reliability of network and infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide level‑2 support, incident handling, problem resolution and break/fix activities.
• Maintain hardware and software components, including operating systems, system utilities, security and monitoring tools.
• Support change management processes such as installation qualification, operational qualification and configuration management.
• Create and update technical documentation, qualification records, incident logs and asset tracking.
• Perform system tuning, capacity planning and manage problem resolution workflows.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for infrastructure and client applications.
• Install, test and upgrade platforms, shared systems and associated infrastructure software.

Required profile

• Experience in systems administration and level‑2 technical support.
• Ability to analyze and design divisional systems and follow documented processes.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and incident tracking.

Required skills

• LAN and Wireless network infrastructure.
• Network device configuration and cable diagnostics.
• Operating system administration.
• System utilities, security tools, monitoring tools and tuning tools.
