J-1 Visa Recruitment Specialist

About the role

We are a Miami‑based hospitality and recruitment agency expanding our U.S. operations with a dedicated J‑1 Visa recruitment service line. We seek an experienced J‑1 Visa Recruitment Specialist to lead candidate sourcing, visa coordination, and hotel partner relations on a full‑time contractor basis, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Source and screen qualified J‑1 candidates from hospitality schools, universities and professional networks worldwide.
• Evaluate candidates for cultural fit, English proficiency, hospitality background and program eligibility.
• Maintain candidate pipelines and records in the applicant tracking system.
• Guide candidates through the J‑1 Visa process, including DS‑2019 forms, SEVIS fees, sponsor coordination and embassy appointment preparation.
• Coordinate with designated J‑1 sponsor organizations to ensure compliant and timely visa processing.
• Stay up‑to‑date on J‑1 program regulations and U.S. immigration policy changes.
• Manage relationships with U.S. hotel and restaurant partners seeking J‑1 Intern and Trainee talent.
• Present qualified candidates to partners, facilitate interviews and act as the primary point of contact throughout placement.

Required profile

• Proven experience recruiting for J‑1 Visa programs within the hospitality sector.
• Strong understanding of visa regulations, DS‑2019 processing and SEVIS requirements.
• Excellent candidate management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with business development and client teams.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of J‑1 Visa regulations and compliance.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry staffing needs.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS).
