LATAM & Canada Health Economics & Market Access Lead

About the role

We are looking for a leader to define and drive Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) strategy across Latin America and Canada for DePuy Synthes, a Johnson & Johnson orthopaedics business. The role will shape reimbursement and value propositions to ensure timely patient access to our technologies in both public and private health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and regional leadership for HEMA across all DePuy Synthes specialties in LATAM and Canada.
• Develop and execute market access, reimbursement and value‑based pricing strategies aligned with global HEMA priorities.
• Lead a priority business unit, ensuring HEMA plans support business objectives and performance targets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including commercial, regulatory, and medical affairs, to build compelling value dossiers.
• Monitor and influence public policy, payer requirements and health technology assessment processes in each market.
• Represent DePuy Synthes in external stakeholder engagements, such as payer negotiations and health authority meetings.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in health economics, market access or reimbursement within the medical device or pharmaceutical sector.
• Proven track record of leading HEMA initiatives across multiple countries, preferably in Latin America and Canada.
• Strong understanding of public and private healthcare systems, payer landscapes and value‑based pricing models.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
