Senior Specialist – Legal Services (Regulatory & Compliance)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Global Business Services Center (GBSC) Legal Services team. In this role you will analyze complex law firm opinions and produce concise legal summaries that guide product launches and market entry decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret detailed law firm opinions, creating actionable legal summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Support compliance processes by clarifying regulatory requirements for existing and new markets, especially during product introductions.
• Ensure all legal outputs align with Mastercard’s policies, guidelines, and standards.
• Collaborate with outside counsel, internal attorneys, and subject‑matter experts to gather information and finalize opinions.
• Maintain high‑quality customer service, focusing on timely and accurate delivery.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal systems, including updates to the legal scans database.

Required profile

• Law degree with a license to practice law in good standing (preferred) or a paralegal certificate combined with relevant experience.
• Strong background in corporate legal affairs and experience managing outside‑counsel engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to solve legal and business problems and to identify process improvements.
