Software Developer Python Specialist

About the role

GIGA IT is looking for a Python Software Developer Specialist to lead the architecture and development of its backend services. The role combines hands‑on coding with technical leadership, ensuring high‑quality, maintainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the Python backend for business logic and API integration using FastAPI.
• Lead architectural decisions, guide the development team, and review pull requests with sound judgment.
• Create and document robust APIs (OpenAPI) and maintain stable contracts.
• Integrate authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, CIAM solutions such as Okta or Azure AD B2C).
• Develop unit and integration tests, including fixtures, mocking and coverage reporting.
• Ensure observability through logging, tracing, and integration with Cloud Logging and Cloud Trace.
• Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform, handling IAM, Secret Manager and environment variables.

Required profile

• Deep hands‑on experience with Python backend development.
• Proven ability to design architecture, write production‑grade code and resolve complex issues directly.
• Advanced English communication skills.
