Web Developer (WordPress)

About the role

Base Coat Marketing is seeking a Web Developer to create, maintain and optimise WordPress sites for painting and concrete‑coating clients across the US and Canada. The role is fully remote and ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build, edit and maintain WordPress websites using themes, page‑builder tools (Elementor, Avada) and custom code.
• Troubleshoot bugs, plugin conflicts, tracking errors and page‑speed issues.
• Collaborate with SEO, Ads, CX and Media teams to support ongoing website enhancements.
• Set up and onboard new client sites, including Go HighLevel CRM configurations and integrations.
• Manage third‑party integrations such as Zapier, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and other APIs.
• Perform QA, responsive‑design testing and cross‑browser validation.
• Monitor site performance, uptime and technical SEO health.
• Handle DNS, domain migrations and hosting environments (Cloudflare, WP Engine).

Required profile

• 2–5 years of hands‑on WordPress development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward site optimisation.

Required skills

• WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.
• Page‑builder expertise (Elementor, Avada).
• Technical SEO tools (GA4, Google Search Console, Tag Manager).
• Integration platforms (Zapier, APIs, Go HighLevel CRM).
• Hosting and infrastructure knowledge (Cloudflare, WP Engine, DNS, SSL).

What we offer

• Salary starting at $1,500 per month, based on experience.
• 10 paid vacation days plus 2 additional days each year.

• Fully remote work schedule (Eastern Time, Mon‑Thu 8 am‑5 pm, Fri 8 am‑12 pm).
