Junior Cloud Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to help build a modern, automated, and reliable cloud environment that supports key business initiatives. You will work alongside skilled professionals from various domains, contributing to scalable solutions and continuous technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Gain a thorough understanding of current build and deployment processes and related pipelines.
• Plan, create, and support infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows for the modernization team while shaping future automation architecture.
• Maintain system dependability and scalability by proactively monitoring performance and tuning as needed.
• Assist with platform and capability rollouts across environments, diagnose issues, and apply corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure systems remain protected and compliant with industry standards.
• Produce and update technical documentation and engineering standards.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and Helm.
• Networking expertise focused on containerized environments.
• Practical exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Azure Pipelines, Terraform, Argo, or GitHub Actions.
• Solid programming abilities in C#, Java, Python or a comparable language.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, dynamic setting.
• Strong English communication skills (B2+ level or higher).
