Accountant Focused on Taxes LATAM

About the role

The Tax Accountant – LATAM will join Sanofi's Finance organization, supporting tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities across multiple Latin American jurisdictions. Based in Bogotá, you will ensure adherence to local tax rules while partnering with finance teams and business stakeholders to enable informed operational and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns for assigned LATAM countries.
• Ensure timely filing of VAT, income tax, withholding tax and other statutory declarations.
• Monitor tax payment schedules and coordinate settlements with Treasury.
• Calculate tax provisions, maintain supporting documentation and ensure SOX compliance.
• Provide tax guidance on business transactions, transfer pricing documentation and regulatory inquiries.
• Support tax audits and respond to tax authority requests.
• Identify tax optimisation opportunities while respecting legal frameworks.
• Track legislative updates, assess business impact and communicate changes.
• Develop and enhance tax processes, controls and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in tax accounting, tax compliance or public accounting.
• Hands‑on experience with LATAM tax regulations, especially Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
• Background in a multinational corporation or Big Four environment is preferred.
• Proven ability to support tax audits and regulatory compliance.
