About the role
AJC Logistics is seeking a motivated Accounting Assistant to join its Medellin office. The role focuses on daily accounting operations, system integrations, and payment processing with a strong emphasis on accuracy and reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Accounts Payable team in setting up new vendors and maintaining vendor records.
- Reconcile sub‑system integrations periodically to ensure error‑free transaction flow.
- Prepare daily ACH transfers, wire payments, and check runs.
- Reconcile selected balance‑sheet accounts and take ownership of assigned accounts.
- Support weekly and monthly reporting activities for the accounting department.
Required profile
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- At least two years of proven accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
