Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Manager to lead our day‑to‑day finance operations. The role focuses on bank reconciliations, maintaining accounting schedules, supporting accounts payable, and ensuring smooth month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting and month‑end close activities.
• Prepare and review monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general‑ledger accounts, prepaids, fixed assets and accrual schedules.
• Assist with quarterly and annual close, including journal entry preparation and posting.
• Oversee accounts payable: code vendor invoices, ensure approvals, run weekly payments and maintain vendor records.
• Support the Controller with ad‑hoc reporting, variance analysis, audit documentation and regulatory filings.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general‑ledger structure.
• Experience supervising staff and reviewing their work.
• Proven ability to manage bank reconciliations, journal entries and month‑end processes.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite.
