Application Security Engineer

About the role

Join TTEC as an Application Security Engineer working remotely from Colombia. You will protect mission‑critical systems and applications by leading security assessments, guiding secure coding practices, and embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security assessments and code reviews for web, mobile, cloud, and on‑premise applications.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and manage remediation processes using SAST, DAST, and IAST tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide security training to developers and support incident response when needed.
• Participate in cloud security reviews (AWS, Azure, GCP) and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in application security, including penetration testing and risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for global, cross‑functional collaboration.

• Python, Java, or C# scripting/programming.
• SAST, DAST, IAST security testing tools.
