Backend Developer – Design Scalable Server‑Side Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance server‑side applications. You will ensure scalability, security, and reliability while collaborating with front‑end teams and third‑party services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Build scalable systems capable of handling high request volumes and large data sets.
• Implement security best practices and data protection measures.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and stakeholders to integrate user‑facing components.
• Manage database schemas, write queries, and handle migrations for SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language/framework (e.g., Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails).
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
