Backend Engineer (Go) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev, a technology consultancy with more than 15 years of experience and a team of 4,000+ remote engineers, is hiring a Backend Engineer specializing in Go. You will design and develop high-concurrency microservices and infrastructure-adjacent backends, linking complex business logic to high-performance system architecture so that services are scalable, reliable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance microservices and backend systems using Go.
• Build and optimize REST and gRPC APIs for communication between distributed services.
• Implement concurrency patterns to handle high-volume data processing and traffic.
• Design and manage scalable database schemas and queries with PostgreSQL.
• Containerize applications and work on deployment strategies in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of backend services on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in backend development, software engineering or related fields.
• Proven expertise in high-concurrency microservices with Go.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and concurrency patterns.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
