Bilingual Retail Expansion Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Bilingual Retail Expansion Specialist to drive the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of strategic retail locations across Colombia. The role blends commercial insight, analytical rigor, and negotiation skills to support the company’s growth in consumer electronics, telecommunications, fashion, FMCG and related sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess new retail expansion opportunities throughout Colombia, focusing on shopping malls, commercial districts and high‑traffic sites.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking and foot‑traffic analysis to inform site selection.
• Develop comprehensive business cases, including ROI, P&L, sales forecasts and payback calculations.
• Lead or support lease negotiations with landlords, mall operators and brokers.
• Coordinate store opening projects with legal, construction, operations and visual merchandising teams.
• Monitor competitor expansion strategies and recommend new locations.
• Maintain expansion databases, commercial reports and manage the CAPEX budget for new openings.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in retail expansion, store development, commercial real estate or business development.
• Proven track record of evaluating and opening retail locations, preferably with national or regional scope in Colombia.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience preparing financial analyses and business cases.
• Fluent in English (B2 level) and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, macros).
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or GIS tools.
• Financial analysis skills (ROI, P&L, business case development).
