Biology Teacher (IB) – Foreign Teacher

About the role

Cognita – Redcol is seeking an experienced IB Biology teacher who is a native English speaker to join its international school community in Colombia. This position offers the chance to deliver high‑quality science education within a globally‑connected network.

Key responsibilities

• Teach IB Biology (DP and/or MYP) with engaging, inquiry‑based lessons.
• Plan, prepare, and assess curriculum aligned to IB standards.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and scientific exploration.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support individual learning needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.

Required profile

• Native English speaker (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching IB Biology, with DP experience highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of IB philosophy and assessment practices.
• International teaching experience and cultural adaptability are a plus.
