Biomedical Engineering Support Trainee

About the role

Roche is looking for a biomedical engineering student to join its diagnostic solutions support team in Bogotá. The role supports field engineers on medical equipment installations and preventive maintenance, and helps meet local service targets while following quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support pre-installation visits by evaluating the client's technical infrastructure (electricity supply, space, connectivity), advising on required adaptations and coordinating the formal visit forms.
• Accompany field engineers during preventive maintenance: operational checks, diagnostic tests, fault correction, updating technical records and basic training of client staff on proper equipment use.
• Carry out activities assigned by the Key Account Service Leader aimed at meeting the technical service area's objectives for Roche Products' distributed instruments.
• Follow the Quality Management System requirements and Symphony guidelines, and contribute to the corporate reputation of Roche Products.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Advanced student in Biomedical Engineering, Electromedicine, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Intermediate English is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance is desirable.
