Business Analysis Controlling Analyst

About the role

Opella is looking for a Business Analysis Controlling Analyst to support financial decision‑making across the organization. You will ensure accurate cost control, forecasting and reporting while partnering with business and finance teams to deliver clear insights and drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy in cost and operating expense reporting.
• Review and manage accruals, expense classification and financial data in local systems.
• Analyze country and regional costs, including structural costs, personnel expenses and headcount trends.
• Partner with business teams to provide financial insights and support decision‑making.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and key cost drivers.
• Maintain data quality and support financial systems and master data processes.
• Contribute to internal control and audit activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting with a strong understanding of cost management and reporting.
• Strong experience in Opex processes and closing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work with diverse teams.
• Degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Advanced level of English (B2 or higher).
