Business Development Representative

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Representative to be the first point of contact for prospective clients of a US‑based HR consulting firm. The role focuses on outbound outreach, qualifying leads and scheduling discovery calls for the Founder.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound phone calls to prospects who have received email outreach through HubSpot.
• Conduct personalized email outreach as part of structured sequences.
• Qualify leads based on company size, HR needs and decision‑maker access.
• Book discovery calls or meetings between qualified prospects and the Founder.
• Log all activity accurately in HubSpot CRM, including calls, emails, notes and outcomes.
• Maintain and update contact records to ensure data integrity.
• Report weekly on outreach volume, connection rates and pipeline status.
• Provide feedback on prospect objections and messaging effectiveness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in inside sales, business development or appointment setting, calling US‑based companies.
• Excellent spoken and written English with a neutral or US‑friendly accent.
• Comfort with outbound cold and warm calling; phone‑forward role.
• Strong attention to detail, disciplined follow‑through and ability to self‑manage remotely.
• Familiarity with HR, recruiting or professional services is a plus.

Required skills

• HubSpot CRM (or similar CRM) for contact management and pipeline tracking.
