Cloud Infrastructure / Systems Installation Engineer

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure / Systems Installation Engineer to ensure the readiness of AppStream (WorkSpaces) for its Gateway ticketing platform. The role combines deep application engineering with systems integration, supporting both offshore and onsite teams in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate AppStream (WorkSpaces) readiness for the Gateway System ticketing platform.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to offshore and onsite engineering teams.
• Review and validate Galaxy configurations, troubleshoot issues and resolve them.
• Diagnose and resolve complex problems at the intersection of infrastructure and application layers.
• Perform final technical validation prior to Proof of Concept (POC) sign‑off.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical technical issues.

Required profile

• Strong background in application engineering and systems integration.
• Experience leading and mentoring distributed engineering teams (offshore and onsite).
• Familiarity with enterprise‑grade ticketing systems such as Gateway System.

Required skills

• Application installation and configuration in Windows environments.
• Troubleshooting distributed systems.
• AWS fundamentals with practical implementation, including EC2 and AppStream (WorkSpaces) configuration and management.
• File‑system and networking fundamentals, including FSx and SMB‑based access models.
• Application launchers and configuration file management.
