Commercial Analyst

About the role

The Commercial Analyst will support the GAC Commercial team in delivering market, competitor and business insights that drive commercial strategy for S&P Global Ratings. The role involves creating tailored client materials, managing data, and ensuring compliance with AML‑KYC procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pre‑meeting briefings, value books and other client‑facing presentations in PowerPoint.
• Conduct data management, analysis and research using open sources, company reports and business intelligence tools.
• Develop periodic reports and dashboards, mining data to provide actionable insights.
• Perform KYC screening, review negative media alerts, identify PEPs and assess heightened‑risk clients using tools such as World Check, Dow Jones and Actimize.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AML regulations (BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, SEC, FINRA) and apply them to client reviews.
• Support LATAM market studies, including market penetration, competitor analysis and market sizing.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience in data management, research, analysis and insight generation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with sales and compliance teams.
