Consultant – Outbreak Preparedness & Response (CGPP Roster)

About the role

CORE Group Partners Project (CGPP) is building a roster of qualified consultants who can be rapidly deployed to support outbreak preparedness, readiness and response in high‑risk countries. The role focuses on integrated public‑health emergencies such as Ebola, polio, and maternal‑child health threats.

Key responsibilities

• Support surveillance, case investigation, contact tracing and alert management in assigned districts or border areas.
• Provide technical assistance to ministries of health and partner structures to close response gaps.
• Mentor frontline teams through regular field travel and assess implementation quality.
• Lead risk communication and community‑engagement activities, including infodemic management.
• Facilitate coordination with health authorities, local partners and cross‑border points of entry.

Required profile

• Health professional with experience in field epidemiology and emergency response.
• Demonstrated ability to work with ministries of health, NGOs and community structures.
• Experience in maternal and child health, polio eradication or Ebola response is preferred.
