Control Center Specialist II

About the role

The Control Center Specialist II supports the Customer Service Department by managing shipment orders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing continuous communication with customers and internal teams. This role is essential for maintaining smooth domestic and international logistics operations and delivering high‑quality service to clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Professionally answer customer service emails and create new shipment orders for domestic and international routes.
• Validate orders from the customer portal, ensuring accuracy of information and documentation.
• Advise customers on import regulations, duties, taxes, and required documentation for foreign shipments.
• Provide standard quotes, plan domestic routings, and route shipments on the next reliable direct flights.
• Enter clear notes and instructions into job files and manage system visibility reports.
• Coordinate with global World Courier offices and departments to find solutions for customer needs.
• Analyze and email temperature data to clients, monitor shipments, and react to any deviations.
• Communicate regularly with national and international stations, providing status updates and milestone notifications.
• Work flexible schedules, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of experience in logistics or operations management.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organization, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with World Courier operational tools.
• Experience analyzing temperature data for shipments.
