Control Center Specialist II

About the role

The Control Center Specialist II supports the Customer Service Department by managing shipment orders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing continuous support to both clients and internal teams. This position works closely with global customer service groups and requires a proactive, detail‑oriented approach in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Professionally answer customer service emails and create new domestic and international shipment orders.
• Validate orders from the customer portal for accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Utilize World Courier operational tools to research import requirements and advise customers on customs procedures, duties, taxes, and documentation.
• Provide standard quotes, plan domestic routings, and route shipments on reliable direct flights.
• Enter clear notes and instructions into job files and manage system visibility reports.
• Liaise with other World Courier offices and departments to find solutions that meet customer needs.
• Analyze temperature data, monitor shipments, and communicate status updates to customers and internal teams.
• React flexibly to deviations, give operational instructions, and ensure compliance with all policies and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in logistics or operations management.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Quick critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and client‑relation skills.
• Organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced setting and using computers and software to manage shipping orders.
• Solid understanding of supply‑chain processes and common obstacles.
• Strong geographical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
