Corporate & Commercial Associate (Bogotá)

About the role

Kennedys is seeking a motivated Associate to join its growing Corporate and Commercial team in Bogotá. The role offers the opportunity to work with leading insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients, providing advice on regulatory, commercial and insurance matters within a dynamic, global law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide corporate and commercial legal advice to insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients.
• Assist with coverage advice, regulatory compliance and commercial transactions.
• Support claims handlers in managing and defending insurance claims.
• Draft and review contracts, policies, and other legal documentation.
• Stay updated on Colombian insurance market developments and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or corporate law.
• At least 1 year of experience advising insurance companies.
• Demonstrated client contact experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Colombian insurance regulations.
• Ability to draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
