Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

The Cyber Security Analyst will support Managed Security Services (MSS) by protecting customer networks from threats such as hackers, cyber‑terrorists, and malware. The role involves continuous monitoring, analysis, and configuration of security devices to safeguard sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the MSS helpdesk and handle Tier 1 tickets across all technology streams.
• Respond to SIEM alerts, investigate potential breaches, and analyze security incidents.
• Monitor network devices for status changes and notify customers of issues.
• Manage, monitor, and alert on customer equipment, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers.
• Install and operate security measures such as firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Document security breaches, assess damage, and work with customer teams to test and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Stay current on IT security trends and research enhancements to recommend to management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, threat detection, and incident response.
• Ability to work with IP protocols (DHCP, FTP/SFTP, HTTPS, TCP/UDP, SSH).
• Experience with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and Lockheed Martin.
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills for investigating incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Previous experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., QRadar, Splunk, AlienVault).
