Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Plan A Technologies seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and monitor cloud network security solutions for our clients. You will ensure continuous visibility, robust defenses, and ongoing improvement of the organization’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cloud network security systems, including IDS/IPS configuration.
• Oversee threat and vulnerability management using CrowdStrike for endpoint protection and analysis.
• Administer cloud security and network architecture with CATO and Prisma, and manage M365 security environments.
• Provide oversight of the security tech stack (Lionguard, Auvik, Datto) and integrate tools such as Keeper License and ActiveTrack.
• Conduct daily alert monitoring, logging, and incident investigation, tuning detection rules to reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with the Lead Cybersecurity Engineer on projects, operational tasks, and continuous improvements.
• Maintain and refine runbooks, playbooks, and security knowledge bases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with the listed tech stack (CrowdStrike, CATO, Prisma, M365, Lionguard, Auvik, Datto, Keeper License, ActiveTrack).
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud security controls.
• Experience in threat/vulnerability management, alert monitoring, log analysis, and incident response.
• Understanding of core security principles such as least privilege, segmentation, and defense‑in‑depth.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, AWS Security Specialty, GIAC) are a plus.
• Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash) are a plus.
