Data Research Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an entry‑level Data Research Analyst to join Aterio’s data‑center infrastructure research team in Manizales. The role is hybrid and provides intensive training on our proprietary monitoring pipeline, from early‑stage project identification to construction tracking and activation forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor active data‑center projects using satellite imagery, permit databases and public records.
• Track projects through the full lifecycle: announcement, permitting, construction, activation and operation.
• Conduct primary‑source research using environmental permits, building permits, utility filings, county records, corporate filings and local media.
• Identify shell LLCs and holding entities and link them to hyperscalers, colocation operators or AI companies.
• Maintain and update structured datasets with project status, capacity estimates and construction milestones.
• Build project timelines and draft client‑facing research notes.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to improve data quality, sourcing methodology and coverage depth.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related analytical field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high‑quality primary‑source research through academic work, internships or personal projects.
• Proactive attitude, comfortable receiving training and asking questions.
