Developer Portal & Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Developer Portal & Community Manager to lead the documentation and community experience for a highly technical open‑hardware product. Based in Colombia, you will own the public developer portal, turn internal engineering work into clear documentation, and act as the bridge between engineers and the global developer community.

Key responsibilities

• Own, structure and continuously improve the Developer Portal, ensuring accuracy and usability for external contributors.
• Translate internal engineering discussions, technical updates and product changes into public documentation, guides and README‑style content.
• Maintain and organize wiki pages, GitHub repositories and other developer‑facing resources across multiple sub‑projects.
• Participate in engineering meetings to stay aligned with development work and product direction.
• Moderate community contributions, discussions, issues and pull requests, ensuring quality and constructive collaboration.
• Collect, synthesize and relay community feedback to internal teams.
• Help developers navigate the portal, contribute effectively and engage with the ecosystem.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication with proven ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to extract key insights from technical discussions.
• Comfortable working closely with engineers across hardware and software domains.
• Ability to distinguish valuable feedback from noise and maintain focus on high‑quality contributions.
• Organizational mindset with emphasis on structure, clarity and information architecture.
• Genuine interest in developer tools, open‑source ecosystems and build‑in‑public development culture.
